What was scrapped was the hero missions which was literally running the story missions with different heroes to level them up and the only mode to get talent trees. We don't know their length or how much detail we're gonna get. The thing is you still get the core pve that was promised the story missions.
The gameplay is much better in OW2, thats objectively true when you look at how many people were playing OW1 and how many are currently playing OW2.Ĭomparing ow1 numbers at the end of its life cycle vs ow2 at its beginning is not even fair when they literally abandoned the game to spend years promising us amazing $%^& and pve but only roll out a new monetization scheme.
Instead of lootboxes, it has season pass, so instead of rely on luck you limit yourself to what it offers and you have a lmited amount of time to got itĪnd you use the amount of players playing it to determine that the 2nd is better?Īt least if you said something like "I think the 5v5 gameplay is better because is more dynamic than the old 6v6 one" would be more credible, because everyone can prefer one type or the other.You can barely buy old stuff with old coins because prices skyrocketed.Has an obnoxious monetization created to force the players to spend time and money in itĪlmost everything is impossible to get for free because everything is so expensive.Has a bad monetization system clearly intended to get some extra bucks, but you still can get free stuff from time to time from loot boxes or with coins.OW1 had lootboxes which were infinitely more predatory than anything in the OW2 shop and thats not even up for discussion.
Also what money did they take from you ? The game is free for everybody.
